Tony Lake is a seasoned events expert and the Managing Director of Production Live, a UK-based event production agency known for delivering seamless, high-impact events and experiences. With over 15 years of experience in the events industry, spanning creative, technical, and operational delivery, Tony has worked on everything from intimate brand activations to arena-scale shows and multi-day international conferences.
His career began as a hands-on freelancer, working across the UK and Europe in roles ranging from technical production to creative direction. His portfolio includes clients in technology, entertainment, government, fashion, and education, with standout projects including Stormzy at MTV Gibraltar, the FIFA 20 World Premiere with Major Lazer, and large-scale corporate activations in Singapore, the UAE, and the USA.
Why Tony Founded Production Live
After nearly a decade of freelance work, Tony founded Production Live in 2018. His aim, to raise the standard of event delivery in the UK and beyond. Having witnessed too many instances where clients were overpromised and underdelivered, he set out to build a company that prioritised quality, clarity, and integrity, both for clients and the people working behind the scenes.
In Tony’s words:
“Too often I saw clients handed glossy proposals that didn’t reflect the reality of delivery — or freelancers treated as disposable. I wanted to change that. At Production Live, we’re honest with clients, thoughtful about creative, and respectful of everyone involved. That’s the kind of agency I would have wanted to work for.”
